Firewood Quality

What types of wood do you sell?

We stock premium seasoned WA Jarrah, Ironbark, Red Gum and Mixed Hardwood — all hardwoods selected for heat output, burn time and low smoke. Our range includes standard split bulk, double-split pizza cut, bagged 20kg and kindling 10kg.

What is the moisture content?

Firewood burns best below 25% moisture. Our wood is tested on arrival and typically sits at 10–15% moisture — properly seasoned, easier to light, hotter and cleaner burning.

What does “seasoned” mean?

Seasoned wood has been dried properly over months to reduce moisture. Green wood is hard to light, smokes heavily and wastes heat up the chimney. Our wood is supplied ready to burn.

What size is your firewood?

Generally 250–350mm (loaf-of-bread size). Standard split is larger for long burns; double split is half that size for pizza ovens and small fireboxes.

Ordering & Delivery

How quickly will my firewood be delivered?

Perth Metro deliveries are typically 1–3 business days from ordering, extendable to 2–5 days in peak winter. Courier bags (20kg, kindling, accessories) are 1–5 days Australia-wide via third-party courier and show as “Standard” at checkout.

What days do you deliver?

Monday–Saturday, from 7am. At checkout you can request Morning/Afternoon in order notes — we’ll accommodate where route planning allows, but exact times cannot be guaranteed.

Is there a delivery charge?

Yes. Delivery charges apply per bulk delivery (up to 3 tonnes) and vary by Perth suburb/zone. Bagged and accessory courier charges are calculated automatically at checkout. Enter your suburb/postcode at checkout to see your rate, or view our Delivery Information page.

Can I pick up instead?

Yes — free pickup from our Perth yard. Select “Pickup” at checkout or contact us.

Can you deliver to my narrow or steep driveway?

We have trucks in different sizes. For tight access (1.9m wide, 2m clearance, up to 2T) we can send an Auto Tipper at no extra charge — must be requested at ordering. Drivers will only tip where safe; otherwise wood will be left at the bottom of the driveway or nature strip at driver discretion.

Storage & Burning

How should I store firewood?

Store under cover, raised off damp ground, with good airflow. Keep kindling dry. Do not seal damp timber tightly in plastic.

How do I light the perfect fire?

Place firelighter, arrange kindling loosely for airflow, light, add small pieces first, allow a strong coal bed, then add larger pieces without choking airflow. Follow your heater/fireplace instructions.

Can I pay cash on delivery?

No — COD is not available for bulk. Online orders pay by card at checkout. Phone/EFT orders must be paid before unloading. No cheques.
